There are many reasons why some animals need foster homes. Some of the animals that require foster homes are:

• Newborn animals needing to be bottle fed, nursing mothers, or motherless babies who were weaned too early to be put up for adoption
• Dogs with behavioral issues or training needs, dogs that need socialization, dogs that have been in the shelter for too long of a time
• Animals recovering from an illness or injury or that need special medication
• Temporary care for an animal that is being pulled by a rescue group
